Suspect Remanded on Charges of Forgery and Intermeddling with Property.

Nakawa Chief Magistrates Court has remanded a suspect, one Kavuma Charles on charges of Forgery, Intermeddling with the property of the deceased, Uttering false documents and Fraudulent procurement of certificate of title.

Kavuma was today arraigned before the Court by the State House Anti Corruption Unit in liaison with Uganda Police Force. He has been remanded until 11/09/2023.

According to prosecution, Kavuma allegedly forged the LC 1 letter of Kiwenda Central introducing himself as the son of the deceased, David Mwanje. He went ahead and divided the estate of the late without authorization the Administrator General.
