The Law Is Waiting For You-UBOS Warns Criminals

The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) the independent body responsible for carrying out National and Housing Population Census has issued a strong warning to all criminals who have started doing UBOS activities without the authority of the institution that they will soon be arrested and prosecuted in court of law.

According to the statement issued by UBOS Executive Director Dr Chris Mukiza, the institution has learnt that "some goons are taking advantage of the ongoing genuine National Listing exercise as we prepare the forth coming National and housing Population Census starting 10th May 2024," Reads part of the statement.

The statement further reads that all UBOS statistical Field activities including the listing of house holds for Census 2024, our teams are accompanied with guides who are LC1 Chairpersons or elected leaders known to the area." Be vigilant and report any criminal who comes to do UBOS field activities without LC1 or elected leader known to the area to nearest police station for immediate arrest and prosecution," Says statement.
