Three Unidentified Men Armed With A Gun Rob Buikwe Business Lady Shs 10M On Gunpoint

Detectives in Njeru Buikwe District have launched investigations into a case of aggravated robbery of 10m shillings which occured on the 08/01/2024 at 8pm that occured at Kyabagu zone, Njeru west ward, Njeru central Division  Njeru municipality in Buikwe district.

The victim has been identified as; Ssemiyagi Margret, aged 62 years, a Muganda by tribe, a business woman dealing in beer and soda depot at Nakibizi trading center. The suspects are unknown gunmen who are still at large.

According to police reports, the victimSsemiyagi Margret was robbed 10m shillings by three unknown thugs, one of them armed with a gun, and all dressed in civilian attires. 

According to SP Butoto Hellen, PRO Ssezibwa Region, the victim narrated that she had reached her home at Kyabagu zone and while still inside her vehicle Registration Number (UBE 850W- priemo silver), three people one of them holding a gun, opened the car door and put her on gun point and was ordered to hand over everything she was having and she handed to them 10m shillings, a key to the depot and a smartphone with two lines in it.

The suspects then left after discharging one bullet in the air and went to unknown destination. However, some eye witnesses narrate that they later boarded a motorcycle which was not identified well.
