TikToker Arrested over Kasese Massacre set to Appear before Lugazi Magistrate Court today

The suspect, identified as Resto Kalenzi, 25, is set to appear before Lugazi Magistrates Court today.

Kalenzi was arrested on Tuesday last week after recording himself in a video claiming that he belongs to ADF, a terrorist group that allegedly participated in the attack on Mpondwe-Lhubiriha Secondary School in Kasese District, leaving about 42 people dead.

“The Directorate of Crime Intelligence, in partnership with the territorial Police at Lugazi police Station, successfully tracked down an individual who proclaimed himself a member of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), a terrorist organization,” said Hellen Butoto, the Sezibwa regional police spokesperson, on Tuesday.

The charges preferred on Kalenzi are terrorism after investigations were done by the Joint Security Agencies.
