Total Overhaul ; Police Chief Martin Okoth Ochala, Shuffles  a Whooping 168 Senior Police Officers.

The Inspector General of Uganda Police Force, IGP, Martin Okoth Ochola has transferred a total of 168 Senior and gazetted officers across all departments. According to a police message dated 04/05/2023 under the ref G3/4/5/284 and addressed to all units and copied to IGP , D/IGP,  CIS and all directors. RE: HRM 131/133/08/Vol. 6/105 Transfer/ Appointment Gazetted officers that we exclusively obtained, a total of 168 Gazetted officers have been transferred in all departments. The message adds that all the transfers and appointments are ordered with immediate effects. Here are some of the names of transfered officers are; D/SSP Assimwe Rose has been appointed Head of SGBV /CRO department. She has  been acting as deputy administration CID Directorate. D/ SSP Wanyoto Herbert has been appointed Regional CID greater masaka. Wanyoto has been working as deputy inspection at CID headquarters. D/SSP Kule Yona has been appointed as regional Cid officer North Kyoga, D/SSP Edward Mugerwa has been appointed Regional CID officer East Kyoga,  D/SSP Justus Twongyirwe who has been regional Cid officer KMP East  has been taken to East Kyoga region as Regional CID officer, others are D/SSP Alyanga Henry who has been the regional Cid officer for Kampala South has been taken to Aswa region as Regional CID officer, D/ SP Fredrick Wetaya  has been removed from sezibwa region and appointed Regional CID officer KMP South, D/SP Edith Namatovu who has been the regional Cid officer Sipi region has been appointed to NIRA, SP Sande Stephen who has been who has been in ICT has been transferred to the Directorate of traffic and road safety and appointed acting SSP EPs tracking unit and Sp Nyangoma who has been DPC Nwoya has been appointed DPC kalungu. According to our sources IGP Ochola said that these transfers and appointments are aimed at strengthing the force's capacity in handling policing issues which the public had been complaining about.
