Two Criminals Arrested for Defilement in Separate Incidents
Detectives in KMP East and Naggalama police division, have arrested an 18 year old, mechanic of Kabembe village, Kyampisi sub-county in Mukono district, a one Kawesi Ali, on charges of aggravated defilement.
It's alleged that on the 18.09.2023 at around 6pm; the suspect Kawesi Ali defiled a 5 year old, female juvenile.
The victim, who was at the shop with her mother at Kabembe centre, went to the toilet to ease herself. The mother went to check on her, after she had taken long and found her being escorted by a lady while crying. The victim narrated how Kaweesi Ali had defiled her. Upon examination she was found with bruises and whitish substances in her private parts. The suspect was arrested, and found to be normal and HIV negative, upon medical examination.
In a separate development the police in Greater Masaka, arrested a father, identified as Ssentongo Ibrahim, a 32 year old peasant of Mugogo II village, Ryeru sub-county in Rubirizi district, for the aggravated defilement of his 4 year old biological daughter, on the 19.09.2023. The suspect separated with the mother to his two children, due to drunkardness. Early this year, the mother handed over the two children, a girl aged 4 and a boy, aged 2, who were staying with their grandfather. It was established that the victim had been defiled several times by her biological father.
Fred Enanga the police mouthpiece strongly condemned such acts of child sexual violence, more so by parents and other responsible adults in the community, whom the girl victims look to, as their protectors and defenders.
"We remain committed to investigating these acts of child sexual violence and ensure the perpetrators are charged to court," Enanga said.
