Armed Robber Shoots Busia Business Woman, Steals Money Worth 50M, Killed by Security Agencies

An armed robber has been shot dead  by armed forces after robbing a business woman who operates a man changer at the Busia boarder money Worth shs 50M  and also shooting at her. Police identified the  business woman as Najuko Prossy while the murdered robber has been identified as Kudu ashraf aka Mr X.

It's alleged that on the 25th day of September 2023 at about 02:30pm a one  Kudu Ashraf alias Mr X armed attacked and robbed one Najuko Prossy a money changer at Arubaine market within Busia town, shot at the victim injuring her seriously.

The public alerted police and they jointly chased the suspect who ended up hiding in the house of one identified as Zubeda Siraji an elderly woman and Resident of Mawero East B, Busia District. Police cordoned off the hideout and a gun exchange ensued for at least two and a half hours.

In a joint security operation, the team of Police and army overpowered the robber and put him out of action. Body of the criminal was found with a riffle / Gun and the same was recovered. The recovered Gun is an AK47 Number 1986S-BU 2929/ 5271, with magazine of 16Rounds.
Cash 21,175,000= UGX, 612,005 Kenya Shillings, three button phones were recovered and all treated as Exhibits.

Police further opened up a case of robbery vide CRB 985/2023 BUSIA CPS, the scene of crime was visited by DCIDO and the homicide team Busia, DCIO, OC FFU, OC Station, Flying squad, SOCO and UPDF Officers. The body of the criminal was retrieved from scene and taken to Busia health centre IV Mortuary for a postmortem, as the victim  Najuko Prossy was taken to Busia center IV for treatment and in a stable condition.
