UPDF  Destroys Three LRA Camps In CAR

The Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF) commandos, together with South Sudan People's Defence Forces (SSPDF) and Central African Republic (CAR) security forcces have raided three camps belonging to the notorious Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) in the Central African Republic. 

 According to information obtained by this publication, the operation, which took place east of Sam Ouandja, resulted in the total destruction of the camps and the capture of significant equipment.

Joseph Kony's LRA level group, has been responsible for widespread of human rights abuses, including massacres, abductions, and forced conscription of child soldiers.

 UPDF's action is a major blow to the LRA's operational capabilities and a significant step towards the total defeat of the LRA and Kony.Confirmed UPDF sources. 

The UPDF spokesperson, Brig Gen Felix Kulayigye has confirmed the operation, affirming: "that’s what it is, confirmed.” While the details of the operation remain scanty, sources suggest that the commandos employed advanced tactics and technology to catch the LRA off guard.
