8 Year Old Dies inside House after Lighting Fire with Petro.

Police in Nakasongola District is investigating a case of Arson that resulted in to death which occurred on 30th June. 2023 at approximately 8pm at Kibuye landing site Lwampanga subcounty Nakasongola District. 

ASP Sam Twineamazima the Savana Region PRO identified the deceased as Lubega Asuman aged 7years old lugbara and resident of Kibuye landing site of Lwampanga sub county Nakasongola District. 

"Preliminary information indicates that Lubega Hakim m/j aged 8years old lugbara by tribe a son of Namubiru Rose a complainant in this case was lighting a charcoal stove to cook food at home, he used a petrol fuel which was in the house because their parents deal in the same business, it is said the very petrol exploded in the house and the entire house caught fire that burnt the deceased beyond recognition since he was in his deep sleep and all house  properties were also burnt," Twineamazima said.

Upon receiving the information from Namubiru Rose police responded in time case of Arson was registered, scene visited and body was conveyed to Nakasongola hospital for postmortem examination.
