Democratic Party Building Headquarters Catches Fire, Police Begins Investigations.

Uganda Police Force has launched investigations into a fire that gutted the headquarters of the Democratic Party DP on City House this morning along Luwum Street.

The fire started early this morning at around 8:30am inside the building and a number of business merchandise is feared to have been destroyed.

The affected building houses several restaurants and stationery shops on the first floor, textile shops on the ground floor and office outlets on the third floor.

The fire brigade sprung into action to rescue lives and property however the number of casualties is yet to be declared and the amount of property lost is not yet established. Police has commenced investigations to determine the cause of the fire.
