Handle National Census With Care- UPDF Officers Urged

The Uganda Peoples Defence Forces has urged its officers to handle handle National Housing Population Census schedule for 10th May with extra care.

 This was revealed by Gen Gen Mugume the head of Census in UPDF was closing the nine days training of 500 hundred UPDF officers at Gadaffi Barracks in Jinja.

"Handle National Census the way we handle wars. Be careful doing this National Exercise," Says Gen Mugume.

The Gen adds that officers should utilize the acquired Knowledge they got from training with ideological aspect of the UPDF.

He revealed that participants were drawn from all units and formations of the UPDF to work as battalion supervisors and Enumerators.

Dr Chris Mukiza the Executive director of UBOS said " It was a good idea to have UPDF officers train as supervisors and enumerators as it would have been so hard for UBOS officials who are civilians to access the barracks to count soldiers and their families,".

He further extended his vote of thanks for UPDF for accepting to participate in the National Population Census adding that it matters for every one to be counted.
