Kira municipality Legislator Hon Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda and Hon Ronald Balimwezo have been arrested by police while gathering community members in Kasokosa for a meeting about the ongoing evictions.
This followed heavy Security deployment after after leaders insisting that they are to hold a meeting over the eviction.
This follows a standoff between NEMA officials and the residents in Kasokoso over the evictions.
The standoff between NEMA and Kasokoso residents followed Nema officials marking over 500 houses for demolition over degrading Nakiyanja wetlants.
