NUP Denied Permission To Use Kololo Grounds For Their Upcoming Event

The Ministry of Defebnce and veteran Affairs has responded to National Unity Platform request to hold their forthcoming four years since unveiling the party cerebrations at Kololo Ceremonial grounds on 22nd July 2024 indicationg that the grounds in under infrastructural development.

The letter signed by Kallu Sam on behalf of the permant secretary of the ministry indicated that Kololo is unvailable for NUP's Event 

However, Onreceiving the letter, the Party President Robert Kyagulanyi expressed dismay over the turndown of thier request saying that Different individuals and other organizations continue to hold concerts and other events there.

 ''We just received this letter from Mfitumukiza Kallu Sam, on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, informing us that the National Unity Platform cannot use Kololo Ceremonial Grounds, because apparently, there are ongoing infrastructural developments! These same grounds have been hosting different events, including recently when they had an event to apparently recognize 40 years of NRM- in actual sense 40 years of plunder and misrule''. Wrote Kyagulanyi on his official Xhandle @bobiwine.

The party Secretary General Lewis Rubongoya earlier this month wrote to the ministy requesting to use the grounds.
