Police Arrest A 17 Year Old Bags Vendor Over Illegal Possession Of A Gun

The Territorial Police in Nakaseke district is actively investigating circumstances under which someone was arrested with a gun today Friday 28th June 2024 at Mabanga village Kyanuna parish Namayumba subcounty in Wakiso district that boards with Nakaseke district. 

The suspect is identified as Akhram Yusuf  17 year old a munyankore by tribe, a bag's vender at Mukwano arcade in old Kampala and a resident of Rubaga road in Rubaga Division kampala.

It is alleged that today at around 1130/c Semuto police station in Nakaseke district received a phone call from Nakitende Fiona of lukumbi village Segalye Parish Semuto subcounty in nakaseke district that someone is moving with a gun in their area.

Semuto police responded immediately and arrested him with his gun no Pso 4000390-11007 with 3rounds.

 It's further alleged that he got it on 25/06/2024 from one Joel his workmate at Mukwano arcade in kampala and did not disclose the reason why it was given to him.

 Scene of Crime visited, a case was registered, statements from relevant witnesses were recorded and the suspect is in police custody at cps Nakaseke district pending to be transferred to Kampala metropolitan North for further management.
