Uganda Electricity Transmission Engineer Electrocuted.

Uganda Police Force has registered and incident of electrocution of a technician at Entebbe Mutundwe Transmission 132-33 KV at Kabale B Katabi T/council Wakiso District.

The deceased has been identified as a one Ojobule Silver aged 27 years who has been a technician at Entebbe Mutundwe Transmission project since 2019 performing electrical duties which include laying cables and wiring/termination.

ASP Oloya Geoffrey, OC Ops Entebbe revealed that  on Thursday, the deceased and his colleague a one Francis Angutoko went to the basement to rectify the fault on the 33KV underground interbus cable which they found flashed/burnt with visible soot.

While in the process of removing the earthing on the  faulty 33 KV underground interbus cable; it's when Electricity shocked the deceased.

The Scene was visited by a team of police officers including SOCO. Expert teams from Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Ltd and Umeme were brought on board to make a technical assessment.
" The body of the deceased was conveyed to Mulago for  postmortem examination," ASP Oloya said.
