Anti Corruption Court Remands Two Officials of Uganda Railway Corporation

The Anti Corruption Court has remanded two officials of Uganda Railways Corporation on charges of Abuse of Office until 24/10/2023.

The suspects who were arraigned on court by the State House Anti Corruption Unit together with Uganda Police Force have been identified as; Kimera Tom- Senior Procurement Officer and Maliza Mukembo Tibewolwa Senior Human Resource and Administrative Officer.

Court heard that the accused while serving as  members of the Evaluation Commitee irregulary approved Deloitte Uganda Ltd to provide Consultancy Services for the recruitment of  Ssendegeya Stanley as Managing Director at the Corporation, an act that caused financial loss to government. 

They have been remanded until 24/10/2023 for mention of their case.
