Minister Nandutu allegedly escapes to Kenya through Malaba Boarder.

The state Minister for karamoja in the office of the Prime Minister Hon Agnes Nandutu is alleged to have escaped from the country and went into hiding in the neibouring Kenya through Malaba Boarder.

This comes after police had summoned her to appear before Criminal investigations Directorate headquarters in Kibuli on Friday and she never appeared and neither did she give any explanation.

While addressing the media on Monday morning at police headquarters, police spokesperson Fred Enanga told journalists that CID investigators waited for Minister Nandutu but to their shock, she never appeared and didn't give any excuse.

"Our investigators from CID headquarters waited for Minister Nandutu to appear before them on Friday for more questioning but she didn't come and worst off it all the Minister also didn't give them reasons for her not coming”, says Enanga.
Enanga added that Ms Nandutu risks being arrested on site after snubbing police summons issued against her to appear before CID investigators.

However our sources told us that Nandutu could have escaped to Kenya using Malaba Boarder on Friday evening.

President Museveni issued an order to security saying that no Minister implicated in the mabati saga should leave the country until they issues are settled completely.

During an interface with the parliamentary committee that was investigating the mabati saga, Minister Nandutu told them how police found her with iron sheets and on the advice of police, she handed back the same ironsheets to police.
