UPDF Officer Murdered in Cold Blood by His Wife.

Detectives from Luwero district are actively investigating circumstances under which a UPDF soldier was killed by his wife. The case of murder occured today Friday 08/09/2023 at Kizito zone, Luwero town council in Luwero district.

The deceased is identified as RA 166673 Sgt Oriema Cosmas aged 47years old, an Alur by tribe and updf soldier attached to Makenke barracks Mbarara city. Meanwhile the wife who's the suspect has been identified as Asaba Catherine a female aged 30yrs.

According to Police, the deceased bought a plot with a house in Kizito zone Luwero town council to settle his family, it's alleged he has been having a long term domestic misunderstanding with his wife and could fight every day. It's alleged that on this fateful day, Asaba used a breakable plate to hit Oriema on the head, killing him instantly and she took off immediately.

ASP TwiineAmazima Sam the PRO Savannah Region said, "When police received information, they responded and registered a case of murder, the scene was visited and documented by a team of soco and homicide, Sketch plan drawn, relevant statements were recorded from relevant witnesses, exhibits used were recovered and the body conveyed to Kasana Luwero Hospital for postmortem examination."
"Attempts to trace for the suspect is on going. 
More inquiries are still at hand," TwiineAmazima added.
