COVID 19 Hits Police Again, CPS Kampala Closed

Central police station (CPS) Kampala has been closed after a number of COVID 19 cases have largely increased amongst the officers.
The closure of the station has been announced by the police spokesperson Fred Enanga Monday morning while addressing journalists at the media center.

“Central police station CPS Kampala is temporary closed and KMP is also closed, all suspects detained at the station have been transferred to other divisions,” says Enanga.

Enanga adds that all staffs at the KMP have been put under forceful quarantine in the homes.
The closure comes after a senior investigator identified as AIP Asaba Simon peter attached at CID KMP died of covid 19 at Mulago hospital yesterday evening.
Our sources at CPS also revealed that a total of over 20 officers tested positive for COVID 19 and some of them had gone into self-quarantine but others had  remained working which made the number of cases to increase within the station.
