COVID-19: Uganda Registers 240 New Cases as Total Shoots Up to 8,017

The ministry of health Uganda has confirmed 240 new COVID19 cases from the samples tested on 28th September, 2020.

Of the confirmed cases, 202 are contacts and alerts from Kampala (53), Moroto (25), Amuru (22), Nabilatuk (11), Abim (28), Gomba (9), Nakapiripirit (7), Kapchorwa (6), Lamwo (5), Mbale (5), Budaka (4), Napak (4), Wakiso (4), Gulu (3), Ngora (3), Kaberamaido (2), Rakai (2), Agago (1), Bulambuli (1), Butebo (1), Iganga (1), Kalaki (1), Kibuku (1), Sironko (1), Soroti (1) and Tororo (1) districts.

The other 38 cases are returnees from Saudi Arabia.

To date, Uganda registers a total of 8,017 confirmed COVID19 cases, 4,033 recoveries and seventy five (75) deaths.
