COVID-19: Uganda Registers Four New Deaths, 204 Test Positive as Total Hits 8,491

Uganda has registered four (4) new COVID19 deaths bringing the total number of COVID19 deaths to seventy nine (79).

The four deaths include three from Kampala and one from Bududa.

In the same vein, the ministry of health Uganda has confirmed 204 new COVID-19 cases from samples tested on 1st October, 2020.

Of the confirmed cases,  197 are alerts and contacts from Kampala (68), Agago (37), Kapchorwa (11), Busia (10), Kween (9), Namisindwa (6), Jinja (5), Omoro (5), Bududa (5), Buliisa (4), Gulu (4), Mukono (3), Sironko (3), Wakiso (3), Yumbe (5), Butaleja (2), Mbale (2), Soroti (2), Adjumani (1), Amuru (1), Arua (1)Budaka (1), Kagadi (1), Kaliro (1), Kibuku (1), Koboko (1), Kyotera (1), Lira (1), Masindi (1) and Tororo (2) districts.

Other cases include one (1) truck driver who arrived via Elegu point of entry and six (6) returnees who arrived from UAE (2), Saudi Arabia (1), South Sudan (1), Oman (1), and DRC (1).

Currently, Uganda registers a cumulative total of 8,491 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 4,470  recoveries and seventy nine (79) COVID19 deaths.
