Maj. Gen. Don Nabasa Takes Over Command Of Military Police

Maj. Gen. Don Nabasa has today taken over command of the Military Police.

Last month, President Yoweri Museveni who is also the commander in chief of the armed forces appointed Maj Gen Nabasa as the new Military Police commander.
Nabasa is the former Special Forces Commander.
According to sources, Nabasa’s appointment came in a mini-changes.
In the changes, Nabasa replaced Brig Keith Katungi.

They all take over offices on 1/12/2021. In light of the changes, as is, they were required to handover office. Against the above background, there was a handover today.

The handover was presided over by Deputy CDF, Lt. Gen. Peter Elwelu.

Brig. Katungi now goes to Somalia as the Contingent Commander of the Ugandan troops serving under the AMISOM.
