The Ministry of Health has put a ban on handing out condolence books to mourners during burials.
These books have been availed to mourners by the families of the bereaved and funeral service companies.
According to research done by the Ministry of Health, it has shown that the Corona virus lasts longer on surfaces such as paper that lasts 5days.
“The condolence and sign in books provided by the families and funeral services can increase the spread of the virus.” says Dr Henry Mwebesa Director General Health Services.
The Ministry strongly urges the public to stop signing in these books and also the funeral service companies to stop availing them to the mourners.
