NMS On Spot For Offloading Rubbish In Residential Area

The National Medical Stores (NMS) has come under the spotlight for littering a residential area with rubbish.

According a concerned resident of the area, a NMS truck was seek offloading rubbish in between three homes at Lunnyo, Entebbe.


“What is corporate social responsibility to National medical stores? This question kept ring in my mind when I saw this truck of national medical stores dumping garbage at our doors steps. We the neighbors of NMS are totally disgusted with this actual,” Robert Bavakure tweeted last night.

He added: “We the residents of Entebbe Lunnyo road division ‘A’ call on National medical stores and its management 2 come out and apologize 2 the residents around this place and as well promote a clean environment to its neighbors. We condemn this act in the strongest terms.”


In response, NMS admitted the mistake.

“Hello Robert, thank you for bringing this to our attention. Our garbage handling and disposal, sadly, did not meet the required standards as evidenced in these pictures

This isn’t who we are as an organization. We strive to do better and are committed to preventive health. We pledge to do a cleanup of the area soon and put in place strict measures to deter re-occurrence of such behavior. Once again thank you for highlighting this.” NMS replied Bavakure.
