The Minister for the Presidency, Hon. Mbayo Esther Mbulakubuza has informed the country that Uganda has been ranked among the first 14 countries globally to have achieved the UNAIDS 2nd & 3rd targets.
According to Mbayo, this means that 90% of all People living with HIV in Uganda are being put on treatment and 90% of those on treatment being viral suppressed.
This development was announced a few weeks to commemorating the International World AIDS Day.

The minister noted that Uganda will join the rest of the world to commemorate the International World AIDS Day in Uganda scheduled for 1st December, 2020.
She says the occasion will be marked scientifically in respect to the set COVID19 Standards of Operating Procedures.
